The Radiant Imaging SIG-300™ is a Source Imaging Goniometer System used to precisely characterize the near-field output of a light source, and then create a Radiant Source Model from the acquired data. The system consists of a fully automated, computer-controlled goniometer system and a Radiant Imaging PM-1400 or PM-1600 Series Photometer/Colorimeter.
In operation, the host computer varies the orientation of the light source relative to the Photomer/Colorimeter, which captures images and flux measurements from thousands of angular viewpoints around the source. This data is used to create the Radiant Source Model™ file, which is compatible with our ProSource™ software. Ray sets generated by ProSource™ can be imported to any other optical and illumination system design software package. This comprehensive measurement approach delivers significantly more accurate results than the traditional method based on a constructed model.
