PM-LED™ Measurement


Simplified LED array measurement system.

PM-LED™ Measurement is a powerful, yet easy to use system for accurately determining the color and brightness of each individual LED emitters in an array or panel. It is designed to enable both production and research personnel to make rapid, precise measurements at a reasonable cost level. Typical applications for the system include measurement of LED panels, display signs, traffic signals, luminaires and automotive instrumentation.

PM-LED™ Measurement consists of a set of software tools that determine luminance and chromaticity coordinates for each LED, and can perform a number of statistical analyses on these data. A simplified user interface automates many aspects of testing, including panel alignment. Special calibration algorithms specifically designed for the narrow bandwidth of some LED sources have been employed to deliver the highest possible accuracy.

PM-LED™ Measurement is designed to work with any of our PM Series™ Imaging Colorimeters, which can be specified independently. Typically, a PM-1400 Series camera is used, as this model provides an ideal combination of speed, spatial resolution, dynamic range and color accuracy for demanding LED metrology tasks.

PM-LED™ Measurement was developed using the ActiveX interface. The use of ActiveX controls in our software enables it to be extended by the user to create a custom production user interface using software such as LabView, Matlab, VBA, VBScript, Javascript, C and C++.
